Fuel:  Natural Gas; served from local pipeline transmission networks


Air Permits Received:  TCEQ – February 2013; EPA – March 2014


Construction Time:  Approximately 24 – 30 Months


Anticipated Completion: 3Q, 2017


Local Benefits include:

  • The Projects development and construction will generate $1.4 billion in economic output from the construction activity.

  • The Project will support 3,342 direct, indirect and induced construction jobs during the multi-year construction period.

  • The Project will generate $379 million in direct, indirect, and induced construction salaries for area workers.

  • Once the plant is operating, the facility will employ 25-30 workers with very attractive annual salaries of about $75,000.

  • Will utilize the most recent advanced emissions-control technology, which will make it one of the cleanest natural gas-fueled power plants in Texas
